Feeder Service 292 connects Tampines Regional Centre (Tampines MRT / bus interchange) with Neighbourhoods 1 and 2, providing convenient access to the town’s amenities.

Introduced in February 1983, Service 292 was the first feeder service in Tampines, launched at a time when the area was primarily served by just two bus routes: Service 18 to Bedok and Service 23 to Orchard Road.

On the eve of public holidays, operating hours will be extended to align with the extended train service hours. Extended last bus timings will be provided by the operator closer to the affected day.

I don’t understand why this service can’t enter Tampines St 11 in both directions. There are traffic lights and bi-directional turning on both ends of the road.

I do not agree. SBST has no Double Deckers in this service for a passive reason.

Last time 292 used Leyland Atlantean from 1989 to 1996 taken from service 65. Then had used VO2X and VO3X during peak hours. When the Hippo tour bus introduced, SBS had to take out double decker from 18 (13 May 2004) and 292 (28 May 2004) apparently.

Unfortunately, 292 is a double decker restricted route due to narrow turnings in both Streets. So unless SG brings back the old VO2X that can turn narrow angles, there is no chance for 292 to get double deckers
