Service 856B was launched on 25 January 2023 to supplement weekday morning peak demand from Woodlands MRT, Marsiling MRT and Woodlands North MRT Station to industries along Admiralty Road West and Senoko. Formerly starting from Woodlands North MRT Station, the route was extended to start from Woodlands Int from 5 August 2024, with additional departures from Woodlands North MRT Station.
