SBS Transit Bus Service 46 is a trunk service plying between Upper East Coast and Pasir Ris. It travels via Bedok South, Bedok North, Tampines West and Tampines North. Service 46 commenced operations on 12 June 2016 as the 65th route under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).

Service 46 connects the residential towns of Tampines West, Bedok North, Bedok South and Tampines North. Unlike more recent BSEP-introduced routes, Service 46 was not wheelchair-accessible at introduction. It was finally designated a wheelchair-accessible bus service on 21 Aug 2017.
In end-October 2022, the service was extended to Pasir Ris via the new residential estate in Tampines North.

yes norman, 46 is a important bESP service, yet the timing is awful.
YES. I took 46 on CDGE bound for Tampines, I tell you, sibei crowded. 46 sucks, 20 minutes for 1 bus in the morning? fu****g hell. Im not waiting for 20 minutes just to get squeezed like sardines. BESP? MY HEAD AH!

Hi SBS,
I would like to comment that the waiting time for bus service number 46 needs improvements. I stay in bedok and always have to wait an average of 10mins for the bus. Unlike bus number 222 and 14 that are serving my area, the frequency really needs improvement especially during peak hours, the bus are always packed due to long waiting time.
