The Bus Service Operating License (BSOL) for this route will be renewed under the Tampines Bus Package, in which the negotiated contract term was extended by an undisclosed number of years from 2024.

Route History:

• 1996 (15 Jul): Introduced between Tampines Int and Changi North Cres (Loop) as a peak hour service
• 1999: Last bus (AM peak) extended to 0830 hrs daily
• 2004 (08 Mar): Last bus (AM peak) extended to 0850 hrs daily. PM peak trips adjusted to operate between 1550 hrs and 1935 hrs daily
• 2006 (16 Oct): First bus (AM peak) brought forward to 0600 hrs on weekdays and Saturdays
• 2007 (22 Jan): Converted to day service
• 2007 (20 Oct): Serves 3 new bus stops outside and opposite Edwards Lifesciences and outside Seamap along Changi North Cres
• 2010 (05 Nov): First bus brought forward to 0600 hrs on Sundays and Public Holidays
• 2016 (27 Jun): Designated wheelchair-accessible bus service (WAB)
