Apart from reinforced construction, the stations are designed and equipped with facilities to ensure the shelter environment is tolerable for all shelterees during shelter occupation. These facilities include protective blast doors, decontamination facilities, ventilation systems, power and water supply systems and a dry toilet system.
The other CD shelters are Tanjong Rhu, Marine Parade, Marine Terrace, Siglap, Bedok South, and Sungei Bedok stations.

Bayshore MRT station will likely have five exits leading to ground level. More details will be confirmed closer to the opening of the station.

Construction Trivia
Contract T310 for the Construction of Construction of Bayshore Station and Tunnels for Thomson-East Coast Line was awarded to Woh Hup (Private) Ltd – Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co (Singapore) Pte Ltd Joint Venture (JV) at a contract sum of S$295.9 million in March 2016.
Both of the Joint Venture partners are established contractors in Singapore and have completed several infrastructure and building projects in Singapore and overseas. They were previously involved in the construction of CCL’s Bras Basah, Buona Vista, Dhoby Ghaut, Esplanade, Holland Village, Kent Ridge, Promenade and Serangoon stations.
There is a mall coming near Bayshore MRT. It is targeted to 2025. ( I read it somewhere )
It will be a boon for residents along Bayshore Road and nearby Upper East Coast Road as well as future visitors to the area to have supermarkets, shops and a hawker centre adjacent to the new Bayshore MRT station. This could be envisioned as the first phase of the upcoming Bayshore Precinct. It is hoped that the authorities also consider re-developing the stretch of East Coast Park near Bedok Jetty into something very interesting given the expected increase in visitors via the Bayshore MRT station with possible addition of F&B and other commercial set-ups. Wooden deck chairs and beach huts could be added for a more rustic beachfront setting. Just as canals have in recent years been beautified, the same could be done to this stretch of the East Coast beachfront.
is it possible for the bayshore and costa de sol residences have a private undergound walkway linked to the mrt? funding will be 80:20 since it would make sense to have a exit on the other side of the road.
it would be nice for the bayshore station to have an exit to east coast park.
a similar F&B setup like parkland green on the other side of east coast would be perfect!
It would be nice to have some shops, food court above the Bayshore MRT station. Considering proximity to residential areas. Can LTA consider this suggestion.
Dear Sir or Madam
I’m a resident at The Bayshore. May I know any condominium will build beside the Bayshore MRT station in the future?
Thank you.
