Service 135 serves as a residential route between Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon, MacPherson estate, Tanjong Katong and Marine Parade. The route shares its popular Paya Lebar MRT – Marine Parade connection with Service 43 and 134. The route experiences moderate to high demand all-day route owing to multiple inter-town connections served.
Service 135 was converted to a bi-directional service and extended to Jalan Kembangan (Kembangan Stn) from 28 Feb 2021 via Telok Kurau Road, East Coast Road and Frankel Avenue. The amendment was first hinted within the Joo Chiat Estates Updates Newsletter, where residents would benefit from enhanced bus connections to Marine Parade. The amendment was initially slated for the 4th quarter of 2020. Additional layover bays were also constructed along Jalan Kembangan to facilitate the layover of Service 135 alongside Bus Service 42, which also terminates at Kembangan MRT.

Does anyone know when in Q4 135 will be extended?
Not sure, depending on LTA. Maybe wait 🙂
Yes, 42 & 135 will share at Kembangan MRT of.
In future, will 135 share Kembangan terminal with 42?
I am guessing 1 of 4 things will happen:
1. 135 terminates and begins at 42’s Kembangan bus stop “terminal”.
2. Same as 1, but 42’s Kembangan bus stop terminal becomes the third full-fledged roadside bus terminal with a bus captain’s office, just like Ghim Moh and Sim’s Place.
3. 135 goes to 42’s Kembangan bus stop terminal, but passes through and loops back to Ang Mo Kio using the roundabout further ahead from 42’s Kembangan bus stop terminal, instead of terminating there. (It will be fun to watch 135 do that)
4. Same as 3, but 135 loops by following 42’s route north of the Kembangan bus stop terminal until opposite the Kembangan bus stop terminal, where it will continue back to Ang Mo Kio.
Personally, I feel that 3 is most likely to happen, though the other possibilities are also possible.
Edit: I didnt read the post carefully, ignore points 3 and 4 on 135 not stopping at Kembangan, although it might be possible 135 does not follow 42’s route.
Most likely 135 will be similar to cancelled 101. 135 may likely terminate at Kembangan MRT after that.
or 114 where it stops at buangkok station.
I agree with TIB1000B that double deckers be deployed on services 100 and 135.
After they amended the route why they still never give double deckers to 100 & 135 for now?
