Introduced in 1995, Service 15 is an inter-town route serving between Pasir Ris, Tampines Central, Tampines West, Kaki Bukit, Jalan Eunos, Telok Kurau and Marine Parade. Calling at Eunos MRT Station, the route serves residential estates and public amenities around Telok Kurau and Marine Parade with connections to Eunos MRT. Additionally, the route serves Temasek Polytechnic with connections to Tampines MRT, and also connects Tampines Regional Centre to Pasir Ris as an alternative to the MRT.
Demand for this route is moderate during off-peak hours but is very heavy during the peak hours, owing to the many industries it serves around Kaki Bukit and student demand from Temasek Polytechnic.
Service 15 is one of two services to loop at the Marine Parade Road roundabout itself, the other being Service 966.
From April to May 2017, Go-Ahead’s BYD K9 electric bus was trialed on Service 15.

It’s a pity that Service 15 cannot have double deck due to the route that serve Joo Chiat Place with a very narrow road as well as Telok Kurau Road.
As I lived in Pasir Ris I see most of the trunk service do have double deck except for this service only
If go ahead service route 15 extend the service 15 to Punggol area within the Opp Blk 571 Pasir Ris Dr 1 continues to Punggol area
Service route 15 should extend from Opp Blk 571Pasir Ris Dr 1 , pasir ris industrial drive 1 , Punggol central , and Punggol interchange
So the service route 15a should change it to 15M status on pasir ris loops
It may not be feasible to extend to Punggol from Pasir Ris when considering the welfare of the Bus Captains (BCs). I frequently saw BCs going to toilet at the bus stop outside Kaki Bukit station as the route is very long.
I think I saw same thing happen at Marine Parade also. I can’t tell if it’s 15 or 36, but it’s a green livery mercedes benz citaro, which both svcs have.
maybe should have bendys on 15?
You go to Telok Kurau/Joo Chiat and check. Bendy may not be feasible as well. Only solution is possibly introducing 15M if needed like Pasir Ris – Bedok.
Service 15 needs to deploy double deckers to cater the high demand during peak hours
Agreed but unfortunately there is some route limitations at Telok Kurau/Joo Chiat area which unable to have Double Deckers. What you can do is to add more 15 buses or include 15M or new shortworking trip 15B lor. Which part of 15 is high?
As a resident of pasir ris i suggest to increase the frequency of service 15 & you are right about the route limitations.
It cannot accommodate DDs due to Telok Kurau and Joo Chiat
Dangerous driving by Bus Route 15, registration number SBS6657Y. On 28/8/2019 time : 9.20am, along Eunos Link towards Kaki Bukit Ave 1.
I almost bump into your bus because your driver fail to check blind spot. Your bus driver was stationary at the bus stop, his next move is to cut across 4 lane to make it to turn right into Kaki Bukit Ave 1. He just dashed across and my car was only few meters from hitting into the right side of the bus.
Please ensure safe driving.
