Service 30e was introduced as a Fast-Forward variant of Service 30, providing faster commute between various points of Service 30’s route. The route connects the Eastern areas of Bedok, Geylang Serai, Old Airport and Fort Road with the Western areas of HarbourFront and Pasir Panjang, where many industries and offices are located.

The route skips selected stops throughout its route in both directions. In addition, it has a longer express sector in the middle; between Telok Blangah Road and Fort Road via the Marina Coastal Expressway.

Formerly known as Fast Forward Bus Service 30e, it was rebranded to Express Bus Service 30e on 12 August 2018.

The Bus Service Operating License (BSOL) for this route will be renewed under the Bedok Bus Package, in which the negotiated contract term was extended by an undisclosed number of years from 2023.

Route History:

• 2005 (19 Sep): Introduced between Bedok Int and Pasir Panjang Rd (Opp S’pore Science Pk II) during morning peak hours and between Pasir Panjang Rd (S’pore Science Pk II) and Bedok Int during evening peak hours as a peak hour one-directional Fast Forward service on weekdays
• 2006 (19 Mar): Amended to ply Cassia Link, Cassia Cres, Guillemard Rd and Guillemard Camp Rd with the partial closure of Old Airport Rd and Dunman Rd to facilitate the construction of Dakota MRT station on the Circle MRT Line
• 2006 (29 Oct): Serves new bus stop outside VivoCity along Telok Blangah Rd
• 2008 (07 Dec): Skips abolished bus stop opposite Temenggong D Mosque along Telok Blangah Rd
• 2008 (29 Dec): Amended to ply the reinstated Old Airport Rd and Dunman Rd, skipping Cassia Link, Guillemard Rd and Guillemard Camp Rd
• 2009 (23 Feb): Serves 2 additional pairs of bus stops after and opposite PSA Wharves G3 and outside and opposite Heng Mui Keng Terr along Pasir Panjang Rd
