Service 852 is a trunk route linking Bukit Batok, Bukit Timah, Marymount, Ang Mo Kio and Yishun. By duplicating existing bus services but with fewer catchment areas, Service 852 fulfils a supplementary role by providing more travel options for commuters. Demand is generally moderate to low during off-peak hours, and buses operate at low frequencies. Still, the route continues to benefit residents and students along the Bukit Timah academic belt with connections to outlying housing estates.

852 now should be under TTS as it is the anchor operator for Yishun And Bt Batok Int. Can swap BCM and operator with 853/854/855/857
Too late liao…. SBST already operating 852. Wait until its get re-tendered in 2023.
why no dd for 852
The demand for 852 is very insufficient & low to have DD. Do you realise that 852 demand is more for students from Yishun directly to Bukit Timah academic belt.
852 is a bus service that plays as an supplementary role which most of the days in the week will not be high demand. People normally take 852 is for people who goes to Bukit Timah Road & Bukit Batok area as what I can tell you.
Most of commuters along 852 will usually take other services like:
– Yishun to AMK Ave 6 – can take 851 & 853/853M too
– Yishun to Marymount – can take 851 if come
So as demand is not high, that’s why 852 cannot give DD. Hope this answers understand you.
Then I suggest to extend 852 to Tengah New Town to deploy some DDs.
i find like 851,852,853,854,855,857 all like to come tgt LOL
(yishun ave 2 – lentor ave)
Besides the obvious Yishun duplication, more than half of 852’s route also duplicates 74 which already has high frequency and majority DDs. Not much is unique about 852 besides the connection between Bukit Batok MRT and a small stretch of Upper Bukit Timah Road near Beauty World.
bus 852 never stop at bus stop Anderson JC at time 8.41 am , over this time i want to wait 20min …..why the driver dont stop here , i no sit down i stand here and move my hand also ~than now I late go to my working place already😡😡😡
When SBS Transit takes over in 2018, it will be more than 17 years since SBS had a route going to Bukit Batok.
