Service 968 is an upcoming bus service operating from Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange to support the opening of the RTS Link Woodlands North station.
This service will be introduced under the LTA’s Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP), a ~$900 million government scheme that funds the purchase of new buses, infrastructural improvements, and operating costs of new bus services between 2024–2032.
Details for the service were announced as part of the BCEP update by LTA in September 2026.

I predict this service will deploy 6 SD 3 DD… Potentially loadings will be above average and full during peak hours loadings will be better than 967.
Seems like the K230UB Euro IV Batch 1 got extended by another year to a total of 20 years lifespan, i suspect the E4 Batch 2 as well as E5 B1 & B2 and possibly both OC batches may get extended to 20 years as well. Thats what happen when rush mass full EV debut, order not enough, teething issues..etc. Anyways SBST plenty of buses for now, get them to transfer out all those E5 B1 A22 they apparently transfer for the retiring unrefurb E5 B1 KUB which were eventually extended & returned to service. 873/873M, 874, 968…etc, alongside the 4 A22 E5 B3 & 2 E6 A22 buses in storage. Problem is DD.
If the 1st batch EV DD distribution is earlier then GB or SW can transfer a few DD to SMRT Woodlands. Right now all Woodlands Temp Int svc with 962, 964 and 950 park at Woodlands Bus Park.

901M will become 901 and current 901 will stop as 968 will cover missing bus stops.
Why does it not go to Woodlands North Coast Rd (Woodlands North Stn) ?
Technically 968 loop at Admiralty Rd West..
At least can help 856 loading a bit.
Why not ply Marsiling Rise then turn right and right to Woodlands North MRT instead?
i hope they don’t renumber 901m into this, 901m gets really packed during peak hours at admiralty with residents living along woodlands dr16
901M shall stay as it is.. There is no news about 901M extension and renumbered to 968.There is a reason why 968 exists.
