Canberra MRT Station on the North South Line will open on 2 November 2019. The station will serve nearby estates such as Sembawang Springs, as well as upcoming residential developments in the area.
The exterior of the station is nearly complete as of October 2019, while minor works are being conducted in the area. New bus stops and covered walkways are also being built to provide connectivity to the station.
Construction work on the new station began in April 2015, and a three-day MRT service closure was conducted in May 2019 to replace and install crossover tracks near the station.
New Bus Stops
In tandem with the opening of Canberra MRT Station, passing by bus services (117, 169 & 883) will call at a new pair of bus stops along Canberra Link.
