The Land Transport Authority has announced that Stage 6 of the Circle Line (CCL) between HarbourFront and Marina Bay stations will commence passenger service on Sunday, 12 July 2026.
The announcement was made during the 2026 graduate fashion show for LASALLE College of the Arts (titled DE:CENTERING), held inside Cantonment MRT station on the night of 14 May 2026.
New stations as part of the Circle Line Stage 6 are:
- CC30 Keppel
- CC31 Cantonment
- CC32 Prince Edward Road
On the same day, the Circle Line station code for Marina Bay & Bayfront stations will be changed as follows:
| Station | Current Station Code | New Station Code (from 12 Jul 2026) |
| Bayfront |
CE1DT16 |
CC34DT16 |
| Marina Bay |
CE2NS27TE20 |
CC33NS27TE20 |
A public preview for the new stations will be held on Saturday, 4 July 2026 between 9:30am and 9:00pm.
Wayfinding
In May 2026, the Land Transport Authority has also launched a guide on CCL Wayfinding with train services denoted as Clockwise or Anticlockwise direction.

It’s so weird that after CC34 is CC4, why not just make CC34 a circle line terminus instead?Or CC34 to connect with NEL like CC35/NE3/EW16/TE17 is Outram Park,CC36/DT19/NE4 is Chinatown,CC37/NE5 is Clarke Quay, and then Lastly, CC38/NE7/DT12 is Little India

Cutting off direct access to MBS?
Through-linking a 3 car, third rail system with a 6 car, overhead line system?
That’s definitely a smart idea.
U do realise the conversion of CGL is going to take 5 years right? And that’s happening because the current CGL is separated from the main line, so they are able to do the job.
What makes u think simply extending beyond CCL stations is going to work, especially CCL is 3 carriage and NEL is 6.
Feels like rage bait
CCL will soon be like Bus Service 36 where you can ride all you want until the vehicle goes off service.
Take note that if you override/overstay for any time more than 2h, you will need to pay an extra surcharge of $2 regardless of where you board and alight at and you will have to pay even more for a new ride as transfer benefits do not apply if you override and/or tap in and tap out at the same station.
92 as well, you mean
Direction-wise it’s going to be a mess. What’s going to be the directions labelled at Promenade?
⑧ ⑨ ⑩ ?
Clockwise loop / Anti-clockwise loop / Dhoby Ghaut?
To Harbourfront (via Bayfront) / To Paya Lebar (via Nicoll Highway) / To Dhoby Ghaut (via Esplanade)?
To Dhoby Ghaut / To Dhoby Ghaut via Bayfront / To Promenade via Nicoll Highway?
Some combination of the above?
Might as well convert the Dhoby Ghaut — Esplanade stretch into a new line on its own, however short it is.
LTA is likely going to eventually phase out the terminal direction numbers for all lines going forward, notice on how they put less emphasis on them in their new designs
Which honestly I think it’s long overdue, given it really has no practical purpose and barely anyone even uses it (most of them would just say the station, or its alphanumeric code)
and indeed, you were right
8, 9 and 10 are now effectively vacant
those numbers are just a modernized version of the colour system in the first mrt map
those numbers are likely gonna get removed soon
I decided to peel off part of the temporary stickers on the new map, and the 8/9/10 labels are completely gone
the new RATIS was just phase 1 of phasing the ⑧ ⑨ ⑩ thing
with CCL6 opened, ⑧ ⑨ ⑩ are now unused
