Route Amendment for Services 172, 405 & 975 due to Realignment of Lim Chu Kang Rd
To facilitate the expansion of Tengah Air Base, Lim Chu Kang Road will be realigned from Sunday 8 June 2025.
As such, Bus Services 172, 405 & 975 will be affected by the amendment.
Service 172
From Sunday 8 June 2025, Service 172 will be amended to the realigned Jalan Bahar, skipping a pair of closed bus stops outside and opposite Jln Bahar Power Stn. In addition, it will serve relocated bus stop before Nanyang Ave along Jalan Bahar.
Service 405
The route amendment for Service 405 will take effect on the next day of operation after the road closure on 8 June 2025, which is on Saturday 18 October 2025 as part of the Deepavali period.
Service 405 will be amended to:
- ply the realigned Jalan Bahar, skipping a pair of closed bus stops outside and opposite Jln Bahar Power Stn
- serve relocated bus stop before Nanyang Ave along Jalan Bahar
- skip Lim Chu Kang Rd and 6 closed bus stops
Service 975
From Sunday 8 June 2025, Service 975 will be amended to ply an additional stretch of Old Choa Chu Kang Road, as well as the realigned Lim Chu Kang Road, skipping the closed portion of Lim Chu Kang Rd, Old Lim Chu Kang Rd & Lorong Rusuk.
Service 975 will be amended to:
- Serve 3 additional pairs of bus stops along Old Choa Chu Kang Rd
- Serve 4 new pairs of bus stops along the realigned Lim Chu Kang Rd
- Skip 8 pairs & 1 closed bus stop along the closed portion of Lim Chu Kang Rd
- Skip 1 pair of closed bus stops along Old Lim Chu Kang Rd
- Skip 1 pair of closed bus stops along Lor Rusuk
In addition, Short Trip Services 975B & 975C will ply the amended route.
The first bus timing for Service 975 from Lim Chu Kang Rd (Police Coast Guard) to Bukit Panjang Int will be brought forward from 05:30 to 05:20 on Weekdays & Saturdays, as well as from 05:45 to 05:35 on Sundays / Public Holidays.
