Great World City is a mixed-use development at the fringe of the Orchard Road shopping belt, just off River Valley Road. It is bounded by Kim Seng Walk, River Valley Road, Zion Road and Kim Seng Promenade. The whole complex comprises a 6-storey shopping mall, 18-storey office building and 35-storey serviced apartments, combining retail, offices and residential apartments in one development.
There are 3 different shuttle bus routes originating from Newton, Chinatown, and Queenstown MRT Stations, connecting shoppers to and from Great World City. All routes operate daily at frequencies between 15 to 60 minutes, which are scheduled such that a shuttle bus leaves Great World City every 15 to 30 minutes.
The shuttle bus service is contracted to CitiTrans Bus Transit Pte Ltd.
The pick-up / drop-off points at Orchard & Redhill MRT Stations have been changed to Newton & Queenstown MRT Stations respectively from 1 March 2019.

The Newton Route for the Great World City shuttle is operated with high-floor coach buses. It operates Daily at a frequency of 30 minutes per bus. However, on Weekends, Public Holidays & Eve of Public Holidays between 14:45hrs to 19:15hrs inclusive, shuttle bus services will be boosted to 15 minutes per bus departing Great World City.
The pick-up and drop-off point for the Shuttle is at Exit B at Newton MRT Station, along Scotts Road.
Apart from this shuttle route, Bus Service 5 provides alternative transport between Newton MRT and Great World City, plying from Scotts Road to Kim Seng Road, and Zion Road to Scotts Road in the reverse direction.
Chinatown MRT Station ↔ Great World City

The Chinatown Route for the Great World City shuttle is operated with high-floor coach buses. It operates Daily at a frequency of 1 hour per bus.
The pick-up and drop-off point for the Shuttle is at Bus Stop 06171 (Opp State Ct) along Upper Cross Street, outside Block 34 and just after OG Building / People’s Park Food Centre. Passengers can use Chinatown MRT Station Exit D and cross the road via the overhead bridge or pedestrian crossing to reach the bus stop.
Apart from this shuttle route, Bus Service 970 provides alternative transport between Chinatown MRT and Great World City, plying from Upper Cross Street (Opp Hong Lim Cplx) to Zion Road, and from Kim Seng Road to Eu Tong Sen Street (Chinatown Stn Exit C) in the reverse direction.

The pick-up and drop-off point for the Shuttle is at Exit B of Queenstown MRT Station along Commonwealth Avenue.
Apart from this shuttle route, Bus Service 970 provides alternative transport between Queenstown MRT and Great World City, plying from Commonwealth Avenue to Kim Seng Road, and from Zion Road to Commonwealth Avenue in the reverse direction.
Shuttle Boarding Point at Great World City
There are two separate boarding points at Great World City for the shuttle services. The West boarding point (Zion Road driveway) is for the Newton shuttle route. The East boarding point (Kim Seng Road driveway) is for the Chinatown and Queenstown shuttle routes. Commuters intending to use the shuttle services should check that they are at the correct pick-up point.
Both shuttle pick-up points are co-located with the passenger pick-up/drop-off points and taxi stand.
