Upcoming Planned Amendment for Service 965 in Woodlands

Tower Transit Bus Service 965 will be amended within Woodlands town in the future, serving the new housing estate of UrbanVille @ Woodlands along Woodlands Avenue 5.

A new pair of bus stops will be constructed along Woodlands Avenue 5 outside and opposite Block 905 (part of the UrbanVille @ Woodlands development).

Plans for the amendment were reflected in the LTA Travel Guide for UrbanVille @ Woodlands, which was released as part of the HDB MyNiceHome Roadshow for the new housing estate in April 2026.

In the vicinity map, a pair of future bus stops were indicated with Service 965 to serve them.

In addition, Service 965 was also indicated to serve Republic Polytechnic, indicating that it may continue along Woodlands Avenue 9 towards Sengkang.

Amendment

On 20 April 2026, the route amendment for Service 965 was announced to take effect from Sunday 24 May 2026, with the route extended to Buangkok Int and routing in the Woodlands area via Woodlands Ave 5, Woodlands Ave 9, Woodlands St 82 & Woodlands Ave 4.

Likely route will be: WTBI > Woodlands Way > Woodlands Ave 5 > Woodlands Ave 9 > Woodlands Ave 4 > Woodlands Ave 7 > current route

Currently there is no direct connection for HDBs and developments around the full stretch of Woodlands Ave 4 to Admiralty MRT . The above amendment will provide the direct connection to the northern half of Woodlands Ave 4, western half of Woodlands Ave 9 (Republic Poly area) to Admiralty MRT.

It’s more likely Woodlands Ave 6 than Ave 4 since they mentioned Admiralty Pr Sch as an upcoming connection on 965, and not the Evergreens

Anyways reconsidering my previous comment, I’m wondering if instead of going straight along Ave 6 to Spectra, they plan for 965 to loop around Admiralty MRT/Kampung Admiralty in both directions (hence having an R/W sector for the 2 bus stops along that loop). It’s certainly a more direct connection to the MRT & Kampung, but might still be confusing for commuters
I would bet more on 965 going straight than doing an R/W loop honestly

For those wondering what 112 is doing on the brochure, it is most likely an error. They probably meant to put 912 instead. Not likely 112 will extend to woodlands but who knows
