Early Closure of North South Line (July 2018)

Shorter operating hours along the North South Line (NSL) between Bukit Batok and Sembawang will take place on selected days of July 2018 to facilitate additional engineering hours for intensive railway maintenance and improvement works. This will involve early closures along the NSL.

The early closures in July 2018 are on top of Sunday late opening on the Bukit Panjang LRT between July to October 2018.

• NS3 Bukit Gombak
• NS4BP1 Choa Chu Kang
• NS5 Yew Tee
• NS7 Kranji

As a result, train services on the North South Line between NS2 Bukit Batok and NS11 Sembawang will be unavailable during the periods of closure. Train services between Sembawang and Marina South Pier, will not be affected. However, train services between Jurong East and Bukit Batok will operate at longer service intervals of up to 10 minutes

Affected Hours & Dates

• On days of Early Closure (6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 & 28 July), last trains will depart at 11:00 pm on the affected stretch.

Last Train Timings at Affected Stations

Note:

• * – The last south-bound train service on Fridays and Saturdays terminates at Marina Bay.
• ** – The last train departing Marina Bay to Marina South Pier is at 2356hrs.

Shuttle Bus Services

Shuttle Bus Services will be provided throughout the duration of the early closures and late openings. Fares for the Shuttle Bus Services are equivalent to the distance travelled by train.

Extended Bus Operating Hours

On days of Early Closure, the last buses for residential bus services will be extended to allow commuters to connect from the Shuttle Bus Services.

• Sembawang: 859A, 883A (Last Bus Timing 1:30am)
• Woodlands: 901, 911/E, 912/E, 913/E (Last Bus Timing 1:30am)
• Choa Chu Kang: 300, 301, 302, 307, 308  (Last Bus Timing 1:30am)
• Bukit Batok: 173A, 189A, 941, 945, 947 (Last Bus Timing 1:30am)
