Feeder Service 902 provides a direct bus connection for Republic Polytechnic Students & Staff from Woodlands Interchange & MRT Station.

Despite the short distance between Woodlands MRT and Republic Polytechnic, many students take the bus out of convenience and affordability owing to the distance-fare structure (i.e. transfer discount).

At just 1.0km, Service 902 is the shortest feeder route, and the only feeder route to not operate in a loop. During other times of day, Bus Service 169 also offers bus connection between Woodlands Int and Republic Polytechnic.

Bus service 902 should be renumbering to service 169C Under Tower Transit, with a fleet of SD Man A22 buses from Tower Transit. So, after service 902 had renumbered to service 169C, only service 284 is the shortest bus service in Singapore.

Honestly, TTS might already be overstretched as is, not to mention having this service under SMRT is better because having a bus that’s only within Woodlands be under Sembawang-Yishun makes no sense

Not to mention, Woodlands Bus Park is a lot closer to Woodlands ITH too

I feel like to give 902 a bit more use, it could be extended to run into the Republic Poly campus and perform a three-point turn at Republic Link. This would also enable a future extension to the upcoming BTO at Woodlands North/Coast.

902 rather it be withdrawn as it only serves 2 bus stops… it is a waste of SDs to operate on that service.

Can be made to a private bus service or run BYD C6s on this route.

You can’t force a single bus service to carry the demand of an entire polytechnic, even though you have 965 being amended, most probably prefer going to the ITH instead, causing hell on 169 ???

If I remember correctly, this thing’s operating hours were already reduced once
And now they’re like, “Have fun with 1 extra less hour guys”
But then, if it’s a cost thing, it’s understandable
