Service 69 is a trunk route connecting Tampines Interchange and Bedok Interchange, via Tampines West, Temasek Polytechnic, Bedok Reservoir, and Bedok North. Within Tampines West, it serves Tampines Avenue 5 and 8, supplementing Feeders 291, 293, and 298 to Tampines Central while providing a direct route to Bedok.
It is also one of two services to connect Tampines Int with Bedok Int, alongside Service 38. However, Service 69 loops at Bedok Int, while Service 38 is a bi-directional route.
As one of two services linking Tampines Interchange with Bedok Interchange, alongside Service 38, Service 69 differs in that it operates as a loop service at Bedok Interchange, whereas Service 38 is bi-directional. This makes Service 69 an efficient option for commuters traveling between Tampines and Bedok.
Historical Background
Service 69 was introduced in September 1995, in tandem with the opening of Temasek Polytechnic. Its route has remained mostly unchanged ever since.
