Short Trip Service 912B is a feeder bus service operating from Woodlands Bus Interchange and looping at Woodlands Centre Road, plying the West loop of Service 912. It supplements the passenger demand for Bus Service 912 from residential estates and community amenities within Woodlands Neighbourhood 3 & 4 on the West Loop, connecting passengers with Woodlands MRT station/Interchange.
As a Short-Trip Service operating daily, Service 912B departures from Woodlands Interchange are staggered with its parent service throughout the day. By operating independently from Service 912, Short Trip Services 912A and 912B improve the operational resilience of their parent service, which occasionally encounters irregular headway owing to heavy traffic at Woodlands Centre Road.
The last few buses of Service 912 daily will operate as Services 912A or 912B.
On the eve of public holidays, operating hours will be extended to align with the extended train service hours. Extended last bus timings will be provided by the operator closer to the affected day.

A COMPLIMENT
Dear SMRT,
At around 8.45 pm on 18th March 2025, I was on my way to the bus stop across Woodlands Avenue 1 opposite Woodlands Ring Secondary School (till December last year, it was called Fuchun Secondary School). I was halfway across the road heading in the direction of Woodlands Customs Checkpoint when I noticed Bus Service 912B about to approach the bus stop. Luckily, there was no other vehicle besides the bus. I hastened, hoping to catch the bus which has already reached the bus stop. But being a senior citizen in my late 70s, I could not be fast enough to catch the bus on time. But the Bus Captain kindly waited for me and showed no annoyance at all that he had to wait some seconds before I boarded. I also noticed that he showed exemplary patience and tolerance, especially to elderly commuters and those not familiar with the routes, throughout the journey. When I alighted at the bus stop close to An Nur Mosque in Woodlands, he nodded kindly at me. In Singapore, the public are addressed, not by names, but generic terms like ‘Sir’ and ‘Uncle’. Hence, I was not able to know his name, but I did notice the number plate of the bus – 8016 M.
I know your staff are trained in public etiquette, but the Bus Captain’s calm demeanour and quiet respect for his commuters appeared more like an innate expression of compassion and regard for others than a trained or an occupationally expected service.
My heartfelt thanks to him and SMRT too for employing staff with a heart for others.
