Service 63 is a trunk route connecting the residential estates of Kampong Ubi, MacPherson, Tiong Bahru and Bukit Merah to the central areas of Bugis, Clarke Quay and Chinatown. It is an important route between the Ubi Industrial Estate and Eunos MRT for many workers, and it also connects Rumah Tinggi and its surrounding Redhill estates with connections to Tiong Bahru MRT station.
With few services serving the Rumah Tinggi estate, this service links the estate to Tiong Bahru MRT. Also, demand between Ubi Industrial Estate and Eunos MRT is high during peak hours, and Service 63M helps to relieve some of that loading.
Rumah Tinggi:
Service 63 was converted to a bi-directional service on 26 Oct 2025, where all passengers must alight at Jalan Rumah Tinggi (Opp Blk 36).
It previously was a loop service which unofficially terminated at Rumah Tinggi Terminal. Formally a proper terminal, it was downgraded to a looping point with parking spaces for two buses. Bus drivers do not end their trip there; they take a short break before continuing off. As a loop service, passengers can remain onboard the bus; although it was observed in the past that passengers are told to alight and re-board the bus after the driver’s break. The bus stop, formerly named Rumah Tinggi Terminal, was renamed Bus Stop 10599 – Opp Blk 36.

Rumah Tinggi Terminal should be reinstated so bus captains can rest longer after a 1h 20min drive.
May as well extend 63 to Bukit Merah Int and use red/white plates for Jln Rumah Tinggi stops.
Now that your wish came true, the formality of having to alight and re-board at Rumah Tinggi has been re-formalised.
If you alight at rumah tinggi and board again there will you be double charged?
does this service serve redhill stn, from google maps it shows that the bus stop for this bus is just 2 mins away from redhill mrt station.
They are unable to serve Redhill Station because SBS Transit 63 needs to serve Redhill Road
SBS Transit Svc 137 passing ubi ave 1 have volvo b9tl means svc 63 also can have volvo b9tl.
137 does not operate on double-decker buses.
63 should be amended and extended to Bukit Merah Bus Interchange. A new feeder service from Bukit Merah can be introduced to loop at Rumah Tinggi.
Yep , i agree with you.
I think the route should remain. A new route could loop at Rumah Tinggi from Bukit Merah instead. Anyways, Land Transport Guru is not LTA so even if you post your opinions here, LTA will not know. YOu may send your opinion to LTA here: feedback@lta.gov.sg
