City Direct Service 660 provides residents of Hougang Neighbourhoods 6 and 9 with greater connectivity to the CBD. The service provides a travel alternative for commuters who relied on the rail network and feeder buses to and from work. The route incorporates an express sector between Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Orchard Road via the CTE.
A pair of new bus stops was constructed along Hougang Street 91 (outside Hougang Secondary School) for this service. This is the tenth City Direct service to be introduced under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP), which provides more options for commuters using stretches of the existing rail lines that experience persistently high ridership, while the ongoing rail enhancement measures are being implemented.
Departure timings are staggered with supplementary City Direct 660M upon its introduction from 11 November 2024 under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).

Good afternoon, can we like to request 1 earlier 660 maybe at 7.15am ,coz we starts work at 8.30am,now we takes the 7.40am from Hougang reaches UIC building around 825am ,we have to rush to 79 robinson rd.
Hope for your kind understanding of the early time thank you
May I know when will 660 start again? On 2 June?
Same situation like bus 661
I would like to inform you that the bus conductor was so rude to a lady (helper) 2 kids, upon boarding the bus she was ask to show her ezlink card, this lady wasn’t sure why she needs to show her card.
Trying to explain that she has tapped the card.
The conductor requested 2nd/3rd time adding a sentence YOU DON’T understand English.
I would like to bring to your attention that recently the 1st 660 bus in the evening route always do not stop at the Penang Road bus stop. I hope you would look into that as it has been wasting passengers time by waiting at the bus stop with no bus to take.
