Sembawang Bus Interchange is a bus interchange located in Sembawang. It serves the town of Sembawang and connects to Sembawang MRT Station and Sun Plaza Shopping Mall.

History:
In the past, bus services terminated at scattered parts of Sembawang, each with its own small bus terminal. One such terminal, Admiralty Road West Bus Terminal (Service 980), was located at the junction of Admiralty Road West and Canberra Road, and catered for the workers at Sembawang Shipyard. Another was Sembawang Road End Bus Terminal (Service 167), was located at the end of Sembawang Road where Sembawang Park is today.
When Sembawang Bus Interchange opened on 20 November 2005, Service 167 and 980 were shortened from their respective termini to serve the new interchange, and these termini were closed. Service 882 was introduced to cover the deleted sector of Service 167 to Sembawang Road End, and the existing Service 856 covered lost sectors of Service 980 around Admiralty Road West. Service 981, previously terminating along Sembawang Way (outside Sembawang MRT), was amended to start and terminate at this interchange.
New bus services were introduced over the years, such as 859A/859B in 2014, 117 in 2015, 883 in 2016, and 883M in 2020.

Hi I would like to complain about a incident that took place today on 19.4.2024 at about 11.20am me and my girlfriend took bus 859 from busstop 58159 after admiral Hill after our appointment at sembawang polyclinic,my girlfriend had a surgery done 2 days back so she had to walk abit slow wen the bus arrived I wen in to tap my card and my gf was just few steps behind me and the driver of bus SG5878P was like “faster la wahlao” then he went on commenting something and shaking his head,the bus had some people standing so there was not much space to move back we were standing in the front I was looking at the mirror to see if he was still commenting any more thing he turn back said something and chase us to move back,how are we suppose to move back when there no space I really need a reply from SMRT I have never in my life experience such a action.
Have some ideas for changes in bus services at Sembawang Int:
859 delete Sembawang residential sectors, 882 also withdraw. Introduce Services 830G/W to cover up as feeder services, plying same routes as 859A/B while taking detour to Sembawang Park via Montreal Link.
883M withdraw, 859 take its place with similar route except plying Sembawang Road before plying Canberra Link, skipping Canberra estate.

Going to the Church of Our lady star of the sea by bus is so inconvenient.
I come from sembawang crescent. I have to wait for feeder bus 859 or 962 to go to the Sembawang mrt. And from there to Yishun. From yishun mrt bus stop as 804 does not stop at sembawang bus station, have to take 169 or 883 or 117 and alight at next station to board 804.
After boarding 804 next station to alight and walk through the shops till you reach the church.
It’s really time consuming.
1)Can the Authorities allow 804 to stop at Sembawang MRT station?
2) how about those wheel chair bound attending services at the church?
Could they have a better solution? How will they travel through the corridor to the church?
