Are you insane or stupid or crazy?!
You clearly do not understand the travel patterns of 167! Bukit Merah resident prize 167 as the fastest route to the CBD and this sector is now the highest demand sector of 167 after the TEL rationalisation!
Before you “suggest” anything, get your head out of the clouds and the imaginary world you live in and get back to reality!
I know it’s impossible but would be better if a new service from Gali Batu via BPJ/WDL to Tampines North using BKE/SLE/TPE and one new service from Sembawang to Tampines North from TTS.
Of course it is impossible, what benefits do you foresee when you want a new service from Gali Batu/Sembawang to Tampines North? Do you intend to make them into an express bus service? I foresee low ridership if such services are implemented.
Please consider profit/loss ratio and the feasibility of such routes for the operating company first.
SBWTampines North (maybe amend service 167 to skip CBD and serve Tampines North via Lornie Highway rather than completely withdrawing service 167 for the original TEL rationalisation plan)
Then what’s the purpose of having. 969, 168, 858 -> 109, 858 -> 89. The buses serve residents from the north to the east. So there really isn’t a service needed just for Tampines North. Its like saying “Lets have a service from Woodlands Temporary Interchange to Tampines Interchange despite 969 and 168 both going there because these two are two separate interchanges.”
Withdraw 167 to Bukit Merah and reroute to Tampines North la
