Service CW4S is a cross-border route connecting the Taman Ungku Tun Aminah (TUTA), Taman Sri Orkid, Lima Kedai and Gelang Patah areas in Johor with Jurong East Bus Interchange in Singapore, via the Tuas Second Link crossing. The route is one of five regular cross-border bus services operating via the Tuas Second Link, along with Service CW3, CW4, CW6 and CW7.
The operating pattern of Service CW4S is unique. Only six full trips from Sutera Mall→Jurong East are operated each day, with an additional six trips operating as CIQ Second Link→Jurong East. In the return direction towards Malaysia, twelve trips are operated as Jurong East→CIQ Second Link. The route between CIQ 2nd Link and Jurong East is duplicated by Services CW3 and CW4. In addition, although Causeway Link lists bus stops in Gelang Patah, buses may skip Gelang Patah town entirely.
No service is provided from CIQ Second Link→Sutera Mall. For buses towards Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, passengers at CIQ Second Link can take CW4G to Gelang Patah or CW3S to Sutera Mall/TUTA and transfer to myBAS T40.
Within Johor, CW4S operates as a local bus service, calling at all en-route stops. Within Singapore, CW4S does not serve en-route stops, only stopping at the designated boarding/alighting point at Jurong East. Due to varying traffic conditions at the Tuas Second Link, travel and waiting times may increase significantly during traffic congestion, and departure timings are thus provided only as estimates.
Boarding Points:
- Sutera Mall: Bus terminal along Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/1, near the junction with Jalan Sutera Danga.
- Gelang Patah Bus Terminal
- Tuas Checkpoint & CIQ 2nd Link (Arrival / Departure): Designated bus boarding point

Inter-Checkpoint Transfer:
At each checkpoint on the Singapore and Malaysian side of the border, passengers will have to alight and clear customs before boarding the bus again. When travelling between Tuas Checkpoint and Sultan Abu Bakar CIQ Complex (“CIQ 2nd Link”) in either direction, commuters may board any Causeway Link bus (Service CW3, CW4, CW4S, CW6, CW7) with a valid ticket. Commuters using the ManjaLink Card should tap their card upon entry.
Passengers heading towards other destinations in JB can transfer to other bus services at CIQ Second Link, such as:
- CW3L towards Perling Mall
- CW3S towards TUTA
- CW4G towards Gelang Patah
- CW7L towards Mall of Medini
- FC1 towards Forest City
Fare:
Charges section fares, effective 1 May 2022. ManjaLink Card payment is accepted on this bus service. Only Singapore currency is accepted when boarding the bus in Singapore, and Malaysian currency is accepted when boarding from Malaysia.
Destination | Bus Fare |
From Sutera Mall | RM6.00 |
From CIQ 2nd Link / Gelang Patah | RM4.50 |
From Jurong Town Hall Int, Singapore | SGD5.00 |
- Cashless payment (EZ-Link / ManjaLink Card) only from Singapore.
As the ManjaLink card is loaded with values in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), passengers boarding from Singapore and paying fares in Singapore Dollars (SGD) will be charged based on the prevailing exchange rate determined by ManjaLink. For example, the published ManjaLink fare for JB-bound CW4 is S$4.50, and as such when ManjaLink is used, 4.50×3.02= 13.59, thereby deducting RM13.60 from the card, as the Manjalink system rounds up the fare to the nearest 10 cents.
The prevailing exchange rate for ManjaLink is regularly updated and can be found on their website. (3.02 as of 15 November 2018)
What is Manjalink?
ManjaLink card is a smart card with travel credits (TCr) as a means of payment on Causeway Link cross-border buses. It is ideal for daily and frequent Causeway Link commuters between Johor Bahru and Singapore.
Topping up ManjaLink card is available on the ManjaLink website, Causeway Link Counters in Malaysia and Singapore, and the LUGO app.
Other means of topping up ManjaLink card is through retailers such as Pointshops at Larkin Bus Terminal, CIQ 2nd Link, or BSI Mart at CIQ 1st Link. Commuters can also top-up their cards at Taman Daya Caltex Petrol Stations in Johor Bahru.
