Causeway Link Bus Service CW4S

Causeway Link CW4S is a cross-border service operated by Malaysian bus operator Handal Indah (Causeway Link), plying unidirectional trips from Sutera Mall in Johor (Malaysia) to Jurong Town Hall Int in Singapore, via Taman Ungku Tun Aminah and Lima Kedai.

The CIQ Second Link–Jurong East sector is shared with Services CW3 and CW4.

The pick-up and drop-off point at Jurong East is located at Jurong Town Hall Bus Interchange effective 22 January 2024.

Service CW4S is a cross-border route connecting the Taman Ungku Tun Aminah (TUTA), Taman Sri Orkid, Lima Kedai and Gelang Patah areas in Johor with Jurong East Bus Interchange in Singapore, via the Tuas Second Link crossing. The route is one of five regular cross-border bus services operating via the Tuas Second Link, along with Service CW3, CW4, CW6 and CW7.

The operating pattern of Service CW4S is unique. Only six full trips from Sutera Mall→Jurong East are operated each day, with an additional six trips operating as CIQ Second Link→Jurong East. In the return direction towards Malaysia, twelve trips are operated as Jurong East→CIQ Second Link. The route between CIQ 2nd Link and Jurong East is duplicated by Services CW3 and CW4. In addition, although Causeway Link lists bus stops in Gelang Patah, buses may skip Gelang Patah town entirely.

No service is provided from CIQ Second Link → Sutera Mall. Connect with CW3S at CIQ Second Link to Sutera Mall/TUTA.

Within Johor, CW4S operates as a local bus service, calling at all en-route stops. Within Singapore, CW4S does not serve en-route stops, only stopping at the designated boarding/alighting point at Jurong East. Due to varying traffic conditions at the Tuas Second Link, travel and waiting times may increase significantly during traffic congestion, and departure timings are thus provided only as estimates.

Boarding Points:
Checkpoint Transfer:

Between Tuas Checkpoint and CIQ Second Link, commuters may board any Causeway Link bus service across the border (CW3, CW4, CW4S, CW6 or CW7). Some buses may display service LOOP2 which only plies the stretch between checkpoints to boost frequency. Card / QR Code validation is required during boarding only (tap in).

Fare:
Sector-based fares

Fares are charged separately for each sector of the journey. Each sector is recorded through a tap-in, with the applicable fare deducted based on the sector travelled. Tap out is required if travelling on the local sector only.

A cross-border journey may comprise up to three sectors:

  • Singapore sector
  • Cross-border sector
  • Malaysia sector

This fare structure applies in both directions — Singapore to Malaysia and Malaysia to Singapore.

Payment Methods

Cashless payment is accepted via:

  • ManjaLink Card
  • Mastercard
  • Visa
  • LUGO App QR Code (Single Journey Ticket)
Single-journey tickets can be purchased through the LUGO App. A QR code is generated upon purchase and must be scanned at the bus validator when boarding.
  • EZ-Link Card (only at Jurong Town Hall Int (CW3 / CW4 / CW4S), Boon Lay MRT (CW6) & Tuas Link MRT (CW7)).
Passengers should retain their ticket and present it for validation when reboarding buses at Tuas Checkpoint and CIQ Second Link.

The currency charged depends on the journey’s origin:

  • Singapore-originating journeys: fares are charged in Singapore dollars (SGD).
  • Malaysia-originating journeys: fares are charged in Malaysian ringgit (MYR).

ManjaLink fares / top-ups in Singapore Currency will be converted to Malaysia Currency (RM) based on the prevailing exchange rate published on the ManjaLink website.

Note: Cashless payment requirements are being implemented on all services from 1 October 2026.
