Yutong Electric Buses in Singapore
In October 2018, Yutong was awarded a contract from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for 10 Single-deck buses and 10 Double-deck buses as part of Contract PT323, in which 60 electric buses were procured.
These buses, Yutong E12 & Yutong E12DD, commenced revenue service in 2020.
In addition, local private operators have also purchased electric Yutong coaches, such as the Yutong E11 coach operated by Woodlands Transport since 2022 and the Yutong C11E coach operated by Leisure Frontier since 2023.
LTA Bus Procurement
LTA awarded contracts for 360 3-door single-deck buses in November 2023 under Contract PT601 (options later exercised for a total of 420 units). Yutong participated in the tender, but it was not awarded.
In March 2025, LTA launched a tender for 660 electric buses, comprising 300 three-door single-deck electric buses and 360 electric double-deck buses with the three-door, two-staircase design.
