Introduced in 2006, Service 45 is an inter-town route connecting the residential towns of Yio Chu Kang, Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon, Lor Ah Soo, Bedok North and Upper East Coast. Much of its demand arises during the peak hours, as many commute to industrial areas near Ubi and Kaki Bukit.
This route links residents of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 with Yio Chu Kang and Serangoon MRT stations. High demand between Serangoon MRT and Lorong Ah Soo results in the deployment of Short Trip Service 45A during Morning Peak hours, and it serves alongside Service 53 and its route variant 53M. This route also supplements Bedok North and Bedok Road with connections to Tanah Merah MRT in addition to services 17 and 14 respectively.
Service 45 plies a short express sector along the Pan Island Expressway between Jln Eunos and Bedok North Rd, along with Express 854e.

Sounds feasible to:
1) Extend the termination to Seletar Depot, since some buses are already deployed from there
2) Remove the mini-express sector at PIE, and ply via Bedok Reservoir or Kaki Bukit Industrial Estate before going to Bedok North Road
No it’s not feasible to extend all the way to Seletar Depot. There is no bus stops in between (or rather, who would want any built, it’s forest), so it’s would be considered dead mileage. Plus, BC will take long breaks at YCK BI, driving from SEDEP all the way to YCK results in more dead mileage.
From Bedok North Road,
– 137 covers Kaki Bukit Industrial Estate
– 60 and 87 covers Bedok Reservoir Road
I think this should be amended to Yio Chu Kang Int. There are like zero passengers boarding at AMDEP so the extra distance not much use for commuters.
Yio Chu Kang Int got no space already.
Possible for buses to park at AMDEP instead of interchange bus park? YCK Int have enough berth space, only little bus park space
45,265,268 meal breaks all can go Seletar
Just extend 162 to Sembawang and throw into Mandai bus package…Free up 3 lots…YCK got potential to build 3 more parallel parking lots good for 265 and 268.
