Bus Service 991 is a trunk service plying between Bukit Batok and Choa Chu Kang, connecting many residential estates around Bukit Batok, Bukit Gombak, Choa Chu Kang and Keat Hong with the transport nodes of Bukit Batok, Bukit Gombak and Choa Chu Kang MRT stations and their nearby amenities.

When initially introduced on 8 July 2018, Service 991 plied an interim routing from Bukit Batok Interchange and looping at Bukit Batok West Ave 5, mainly complementing Service 941 and 944 in serving new residential estates northwest of Bukit Batok with direct links to Bukit Batok MRT Station. It was then the seventh (7th) service to be introduced under the Bus Contracting Model (BCM). Short Trip Service 991A was also introduced to cater to late-night residents heading home from Bukit Batok MRT.

Service 991 was later extended to Choa Chu Kang via Bukit Gombak MRT, Bukit Batok West Ave 5, Brickland Rd, Choa Chu Kang Ave 3 & Ave 1, and Keat Hong Link. Thereafter, it absorbed the route of Feeder Service 308 (withdrawn on the same day), via Choa Chu Kang Ave 1, Choa Chu Kang Drive and terminating at Choa Chu Kang Interchange. Short Trip Service 991B was also introduced to cater to late-night residents heading home from Choa Chu Kang MRT.

I notice that there are fewer 911 buses on the road from 1: 30 to 2:30 pm. (especially from Chua Chu Kang to Bukit Batok direction). Students usually have to wait more than 20 to 30 mins for one bus after school. is it possible to have more buses during this period of time?

I think those who wants to lazily start from CCK Interchange will have an issue by the time if extended to Gali Batu, although I wanted to. But other checking 991 at CCK Int, it will be a problem for those who rely on 991 regularly.

And also, 991 demand is kinda very high these days. If you amend it, then what will happen to 991B? Please understand that if amend to serve Yew Tee, there will be some issues for regular commuters of 991. Yes, there’s CCK Station bus stop, but what IF it rains? Will it trouble commuters? Hope you understand this. But this is a good one
