Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3 to open in second half of 2022

11 Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) stations are expected to open in the second half of 2022, as announced by Transport Minister S Iswaran today (9 Mar 2022) during the Committee of Supply debate.

Originally announced to be open in the Year 2021, the opening of TEL Stage 3 was delayed due to material supplies and manpower disruption as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The third stage of the Thomson-East Coast Line comprises 13 stations, including 4 interchange stations. However, Marina South and Mount Pleasant stations will open at a later date in tandem with developments in the area.
