Woodlands MRT Station (NS9/TE2) is an interchange station along the North South Line (NSL) and Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), located within the Woodlands Regional and the heart of Woodlands New Town. The NSL station is above ground, while the TEL station is underground. A circular road, Woodlands Square, provides access to the station and its surrounding developments.
As a forested area in the past, Woodlands New Town is now served by Woodlands, Admiralty and Marsiling stations, with Woodlands station being situated in the Regional Centre (to differentiate it from the older Woodlands Town Centre, which is next to Woodlands Checkpoint). Opened in February 1996 as part of the NSL (Woodlands Extension), the station is built on top of the present Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub (formerly Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange) as a space-saving measure.
The station is a transport node for residents of Woodlands New Town, serving adjacent shopping malls and community amenities (Causeway Point, Woodlands Civic Centre, Woods Square), as well as schools and housing developments. Bus services are offered from Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange and Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub.

Future Developments

Correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s a linkway from TEL platform level to the interchange at B3?
Exit 8 could link to Woodlands Regional bus int while exit 9 could link to the civic centre or vice versa
Already in the plan liao.
Head down towards the dead end, and look back. The signboard info above is facing the wall of the dead end. Though official info isn’t up, I’m suspecting a potential exit there.
Is there going to be an exit 8? Doesn’t look like it… nothing on the sign board… Also the area beside the Transitlink seem to be a permanent wall and not a knockout panel. Need official confirmation if there is indeed a exit to civic centre.
Potential Exit 8 to be open up connecting to Civic Centre. Located after Exit 5, on your right when heading towards Exit 6/7 where the transitlink service shop is located. Signboards are up and labelled, directory map also placed.
