Shorter operating hours along the East West Line (EWL) between Bugis and Tanah Merah will take place on selected Fridays & Saturdays in May & June 2019 to facilitate additional engineering hours for power supply system renewal and maintenance works. This will involve early closures along the EWL.

As a result, train services on the East West Line between EW12DT14 Bugis and EW4CG Tanah Merah will be unavailable during the periods of closure. Train services between Tuas Link – Bugis, Tanah Merah – Pasir Ris, and Tanah Merah – Changi Airport will not be affected.

Shuttle Bus Service
A Shuttle Bus Service will be provided throughout the duration of the early closure. Fares for the Shuttle Bus Service are equivalent to the distance travelled by train.

Extended Bus Operating Hours
On days of Early Closure, the last buses for residential bus services would be extended to allow commuters to connect from the Shuttle Bus Services.

No early closure on Sunday (only Friday and Saturday), btw all train from Changi Airport will terminate at Tanah Merah, you need to change to train going toward City.

If I travel from Changhi airport to Clarke Quay on Sunday June 9th do I need to change trains at Tanah Merah MRT Station ?
I know I have to change trains at EW 16 (Outram Park) to get onto the NE line, but I am not sure if I also have to change trains at Tanah Merah MRT Station. Can you please clarify?
