Service 965 is an inter-town route serving between the housing estates of Woodlands, Yishun, Sengkang and Buangkok. The route is frequented as a fast connection between Yishun and Sengkang due to its express sector along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) and Tampines Expressway (TPE).
Between Woodlands and Sengkang, Service 161 offers the faster route by skipping Yishun town entirely.

Finally, Bus service 965 will be extended to Buangkok after 2 years.
Pls do extend 965 to punggol east and north. Enhanced connection between Punggol and Woodlands
I guess I shall give up the punggol to woodlands idea, anyways it won’t happen. Just extend 965 to serve Buangkok Dr, Buangkok LInk and Buangkok Cres, those areas quite weak or are only served by 104, 329.

Still don’t know why 965 still hasn’t extended to Buangkok
I got a route suggestion and hope this will be acceptable. 965 should also the residents in Buangkok and Punggol. These 2 places are in high demand. For Buangkok, serve Sengkang Ctrl and for Punggol, serve Punggol East, Punggol Drive. With this Ammendments, it will have more and better connectivity and convenience.

I think it is possible for 965 to become unidirectional if it amends to Buangkok ITH in the future, along with 110 possibly. This way 374 can amend back to Sengkang ITH.
However this means that both Tower Transit and SMRT must have a substation in an equally small (compared to Sengkang) Buangkok ITH. With this I suspect Compassvale Int will have to remain open unless one of the other airport bus services transfer operators to SMRT while 110 exchange with SBS Transit.
