Eunos Bus Interchange is located just outside Eunos MRT Station. Similar to the MRT station, it is designed with traditional Malay flavours, reflecting the Malay identity of the area.

History:
Eunos Bus Terminal operated along Sims Avenue for some time before it was upgraded to a bus interchange in 1989 to link up with the newly opened Eunos MRT Station. Eunos Bus Interchange opened on Sunday, 10th Dec 1989, incorporating a Malay Minangkabau roof design to blend with the surrounding estate, and similar to that used for Eunos MRT. This adds to the Malay flavour in the region, which is close to Geylang Serai. The interchange opened with six services transferred from Eunos Bus Terminal, namely 3, 50, 94, 382, 385 and M4.
The bus interchange has a bus park with 30 layover bays underneath the elevated MRT tracks and a vehicular entrance and exit at Eunos Road 2. There are 2 alighting berths and 4 boarding berths.
Upgrading Works
The Land Transport Authority will be carrying out enhancement works at Eunos Bus Interchange from 2027 to improve accessibility and provide commuter-friendly features and staff facilities. This was one of six bus interchanges upgraded under this batch of works.
Key works include:
- Enhancement of inclusive facilities such as priority queue zones, additional seating, baby care/family washrooms, wheelchair accessible toilets, commuter care rooms, tactile guided paths and Braille signs on handrails;
- Replacement and upgrading of systems such as air-conditioning, ventilation systems and lighting;
- Refurbishment of staff facilities such as passenger service offices and staff lounges

Eunos Bus Interchange currently has nine bus routes. Therefore, if an Eunos Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) were to be built, it would need to be similar in scale to Joo Koon ITH, which also serves about nine bus routes. Joo Koon ITH occupies approximately 20,362 m² of land.
During construction, Eunos Bus Interchange could temporarily stop boarding activities, with most of the existing interchange demolished. Only the existing bus park and alighting area would be retained. This would make it possible to create approximately 22,677 m² of land at the junction of Eunos Road 2 and Sims Avenue.
In other words, the Eunos ITH could have its driveway along Eunos Road 2 while retaining all the current bus routes serving Eunos Bus Interchange.
During the transition period, which would last about four years, the arrangement could be similar to the temporary arrangement used at Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange in the past. Passengers would board buses at the bus stop outside the interchange along Sims Avenue, which some passengers already use.
Only bus services 76 and 154 would need to be temporarily rerouted to pick up passengers at the bus stop along Sims Avenue. This is because many passengers already board Eunos bus services at the bus stop outside the interchange rather than inside the bus interchange.
Therefore, this approach could realistically be used to create the Eunos ITH while maintaining bus operations during the construction period.
