Introduction

Mandai Bus Depot was built to accommodate planned increases to Singapore’s bus fleet under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) and later Bus Contracting Model (BCM). Construction began in December 2013 and was completed in 2019.

The depot is fully equipped to support day-to-day bus operations, with facilities such as a bus parking area, refuelling and washing equipment, and a workshop for bus inspection, maintenance and overhaul. The administration building houses the Bus Operations Control Centre (BOCC), a canteen, and other amenities for Bus Captains.

As an integrated rail and bus depot, Mandai Bus Depot is co-located with the Mandai MRT Depot which supports the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL). Mandai Bus Depot occupies the east end of the Mandai Depot, and the bus parking deck sits above the train stabling yard.

Other bus facilities that were integrated with train depots to save space include Tuas Bus Terminal and Gali Batu Bus Terminal.
