Service 970 is an inter-town route linking public and private housing estates of Bukit Panjang, Hillview, Bukit Batok, Bukit Timah, Sixth Avenue, Holland Village, Commonwealth and Alexandra, with the City areas of River Valley, Great World, Outram Park, Chinatown, Telok Ayer and Shenton Way.
Despite its many unique connections, the route serves many low-density estates and demand is moderate as a result. Much of its demand comes from shuttling commuters between various points of its lengthy route.
No alighting is allowed at Shenton Way Terminal.

I am suggesting Service 970 to start from Beauty World and loops at New Bridge Rd.
Via Outram, Anson/Cecil St and New Bridge Rd.
i wish they had more Mercedes Benz 0C500LE on this service instead of so many MAN22s
They probably want to standardise to A22s for 970. In fact, 970 as A22 not bad what…..
I have also seen Mercedes Benz 0C500LE on 970 before.

My usual self when boarding any buses. This Bus Captain is one of a kind that is pleasant and courteous. He was readily reciprocating my greetings when I boarded the vehicle. I noticed that he even delayed his taking off prior to me finding a seat (I am in my 70’s). Such a nice behavior or attitudes of Bus Captain should not go unnoticed. He deserves to be recognized as role model.

I boarded the Bus 970 from Beauty World at around 12.20pm on 12-12-21 for a journey to Hilllview Avenue when I alighted at bus stop No.43241.SMB1514M.
