Introduction:
Yishun Integrated Transport Hub is a bus interchange located in the residential town of Yishun. Connecting with Yishun MRT Station along the North South MRT Line, the interchange is a transport node for commuters heading in and out of town, allowing for convenient transfers between the rail network and the many bus services at the interchange.
Opened on 8 September 2019, Yishun Bus Interchange will be the tenth Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) to be opened in Singapore, after Toa Payoh in May 2002, Sengkang in Jan 2003, Ang Mo Kio in Apr 2007, Boon Lay in Dec 2009, Serangoon in Sep 2011, Clementi in Nov 2011, Bedok in Nov 2014, Joo Koon in Nov 2015, and Bukit Panjang in Sep 2017. The interchange is integrated within the Northpoint City shopping centre (South Wing) and the North Park Residences condominium, with underpasses leading to Yishun MRT Station across the road. Hence, retail, residential and transportation facilities are combined under one roof.
The interchange has a single vehicular concourse area with two ingress/egress points leading to Yishun Avenue 2. Located at the north end is a Left-In-Left-Out access, and at the South end, a full-movement signalised junction. Pedestrian access will be offered to Yishun Avenue 2 and retail areas of Northpoint City.
The interchange concourse features offices, staff lounges and an NTWU Canteen. Commuter facilities such as queue lines at every berth, bus departure timing screens, and priority seats at every berth will be provided.
History:
Before the construction of the Yishun Bus Interchange, Yishun had two roadside bus termini; one at Yishun Avenue 5 and the other at Yishun Central. The former handled feeder services like 800 and 801, while trunk routes 850 and 851 called at the Yishun Central Terminal. In the 1980s, the rising development of Yishun New Town called for a more permanent facility for buses. The Housing and Development Board (HDB), responsible of public works, designed and built a permanent facility between Yishun Avenue 2 and Yishun Central 1. Yishun Bus Interchange opened on 23 August 1987 with five trunk and four feeder bus services, gradually expanding to the 19 bus services today.
In 2003, SBS introduced Service 39 to Yishun, followed by 85 in 2006. In December 2010, private operator Advance Coach introduced AC7, a cross-border bus route to Johor Bahru.
The last day of operations of (Old) Yishun Bus Interchange was on 13 March 2015, following which the Yishun Temporary Bus Interchange was opened to replace the old one. Yishun Bus Interchange was demolished and replaced by an air-conditioned Integrated Public Transport Hub, Northpoint City, housing a shopping mall, offices and residential developments by 2019.
Like previous Integrated Transport Hubs, the retail section opened far ahead of the bus interchange. Northpoint City (South Wing) was opened on 18 December 2017 while the interior of the bus interchange had yet to be fitted.
Yishun Bus Interchange was used as a layover point for SBS Transit & SMRT Buses operating on Shuttle 10 during the 3 Day Closure on North South Line for Canberra Track Works in May 2019.

In the future there should be a feeder bus service to serve Yishun Ave 8 new developments. Here’s my idea:
Feeder Bus Service 808 (Yishun St 42)
(811 North Loop Route) -> Yishun Ave 7 -> Yishun Ave 8 -> Yishun Ave 1 (new bus stop) -> Yishun St 43 -> Yishun St 42 -> Yishun St 44 -> Yishun Ave 8 ->Yishun Ave 7 -> Yishun Ave 2 -> Yishun ITH

The rest of Yishun Ave 8 sector to Canberra can be covered by amended 117 or 117M, looping from Canberra MRT to Canberra View/St and to Yishun Ave 8, then turn in to Ave 9/Ring Rd and Yishun MRT.
To save space in here, bus 859 can loop at yishun central 1 while 860 loops at yishun st 11
Actually instead of this service 812 can continue from east loop to west loop without stopping at interchange like 811. Like this can save extra one space.
The anchor – TTSG, has fewer routes than the tenant SBST.
Really don’t understand the planning by LTA. Should have just allocate Yishun feeders under Mandai.
Yes full of rubbish,Favour SBST too much also.
Feeders can go to Seletar but 851,851e & 852 should just be in Mandai.
Might as well give all the sbst svcs here to tts (except for 39 and 103)
Why can’t 859 and 860 just loop around Yishun Ave 2 instead of going into the interchange.
860 is meant to serve the interchange. Yio Chu Kang is actually the looping point.
