Further Bus Service Developments in Punggol (2016 – Present)
In 2016, Go-Ahead Singapore took over as the anchor operator of Punggol Bus Interchange, after clinching the contract for the Loyang Bus Package a year prior. All but 2 bus services operating out of the interchange are transferred to the new operator in September of that year.
Punggol Bus Interchange was subsequently expanded in 2017 as part of efforts by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to introduce additional bus services for the new town under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP), with the expansion of the existing interchange concourse and 2 additional boarding berths for bus services.
With the development of new Build-To-Order (BTO) projects since the late 2010s, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) proposed the construction of a new bus interchange in Punggol Coast, which will be integrated with the Punggol Coast Mall. Punggol Coast Bus Interchange was opened along Sentul Wk on 29 Jun 2025.
