Further Bus Service Developments in Serangoon (2011 – Present)

In 2011, the former Serangoon Bus Interchange was relocated to a smaller air-conditioned facility located within the NEX shopping mall as Singapore’s 5th Integrated Transport Hub (ITH). All services from the existing bus interchange were relocated to the new ITH, except Bus Services 81 & 82.

To cater to the new Build-To-Order (BTO) projects in the new neighbourhoods in Bidadari, a new bus interchange was proposed, located within Woodleigh Village, an integrated residential development. Initially slated for opening in 2021, the Woodleigh Bus Interchange was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the deferred completion of flats for the Bidadari housing estate, before eventually opening along Bidadari Park Drive in 2025 as a new terminating point for Bus Service 146 and the new Bus Service 148 under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).
